From a family of innovators and designers, David Baird graduated as a Natural Scientist from Trinity College Dublin in 1976.
After a short period of scientific research, David switched to the commercial world and became a pioneer for off-shore aquaculture. During this time David even invented a Tidal Turbine!
Always a keen chess player, David enjoyed a game of SCRABBLE, but his scientific mind was frustrated by the luck element, where letters were randomly given to the Players which, unfairly, could be unplayable. David decided to invent a word game which depended totally on language skill, and eliminated luck.
After two years trial and error ACROSSCHECK™ was born. Here whole words are formed, where the scope is limited only by the players own vocabulary and their skill at playing the game!
